Gold medal at the world largest FIE satellite competition (London 28 Oct 2017).
William
beat team-mate James Honeybone in the final of the competition which included contestants from all around the world.
This moved William up to 58th senior in the World rankings.

7th in World at Junior World Championships in Plovdiv (22 Apr 2017).
In the team event William scored 13-5 against Lokhanov, the world's No 1. The team narrowly missed out on a medal, ending 4th in the world.
